The Cantilever 300 is compatible with most sedans, hatchbacks, SUVs, and minivans, with some limitations: the hooks and straps must attach to metal (never glass or plastic), the lower portion of the rack frame must contact a rigid, solid metal part of the vehicle, and spare tires, luggage racks, spoilers, and bumper skirts may prevent safe use of the bike carrier. Caution should be taken to ensure the rack is not rested on a soft bumper.
